Spartan Race: Aroo! Aroo! Aroo!

This was a fantastic week although I did not run as much as previous weeks. The highlight of the week was clearly the Spartan Race on Saturday in Munich. My better half Sandy had a stupid idea to register us to the Spartan Race already long time ago. Later I decided to run the marathon and Spartan did not really fit in the marathon training plan. Luckily I still joined her for the 7.1k race with 20+ obstacles. It was a lot of fun and we managed to even climb up a rope (which I was most scared of). It was a fantastic confidence builder and we both are so happy we did it. Now I can proudly wear my Spartan Finisher shirt at the marathon day and remind myself that I managed all these obstacles (except for 2) so I can also finish the marathon.

My training of the week (total of 43.2 km):

Monday: rest
Tuesday: rest
Wednesday: 12.0 km steady run in 1:01:16
Thursday: 12.0 km steady run in 1:01:11
Friday: rest
Saturday: 7.1 km Spartan Race in 1:37:34
Sunday: 12.0 km steady run in 1:02:55
